The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 297

We know, we know. Another unexpected hiatus in our playlists. We're sorry, but life keeps getting in our way (it's not easy to get a new house ready, folks). Luckily, there's light at the end of the tunnel (fingers crossed), and this weekend we have the time to deliver a flamboyant TOP TEN JUKEBOX where, while we offer you our traditional bunch of discoveries, we also pay some dues. Such as celebrating the funny weirdness of "The Nowhere Inn", pledge you to hear the mesmerizing Grace Cummings, or pay a humble tribute to the late Charlie Watts with one of our favourite Stones tune. Have a nice Sunday and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 296

We could keep telling you that our life is pretty stressful right now (anyone who has got into "the adventure" of remodeling & moving into a new apartment while working will understand us) but today we'll let our latest TOP TEN JUKEBOX do all the talking. Because, in fact, there isn't much to add when looking at the names gathered in it. Music titans like Michael Stipe, Eddie Vedder, the return of The War on Drugs, alongside new discoveries that will surely blow your mind (a chaise longue has never been so catchy, or those Good Rockets reminding us our beloved friends from Athens...) We could go on, but better shut up and let you enjoy it. Have a nice Sunday and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

So we begin October (an important, decissive October for this humble Blog writers) with a spectacular TOP TEN JUKEBOX (sorry, no time for being modest). Because we have gathered some very dear voices such as Courtney Barnett (eager for the new album), new favourites like The Umbrellas or Ducks Limited, with several discoveries that deserve a careful spin. A most complete, full of wonders playlist. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 293

A bit late in August, but we are about to disconnect for a couple of weeks to have our (deserved, much needed) holidays. But before we hit the road, we have gathered a last-minute yet pretty ace TOP TEN JUKEBOX. Full of wonders and surprises, it has a bit of everything. Heavyweight covers, a couple of stunners (what a comeback by Big Red Machine and dear Courtney), inspired friends returning in impeccable form (opener Persian Leaps), exciting newcomers... even two "Eddie Vedders"! A lot to listen, for sure. Have a nice Sunday, a great end to the month, we'll see you all in mid-September. And remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 292

Two much time without our TOP TEN JUKEBOX. Obviously, we could blame routine, work and some other factor but... there's a main and positive reason: we are moving! Or better said, in the midst of the process, dealing with the real estate market in Barcelona (one day we can dedicate a "chapter" to it), mortgage analysis and the never ending documentation required. Incredibly time-consuming...  But we don't want to bore you, or even sound slightly down, as we are very excited about our decision. So we took some time off from paper-work and decided to bring you an ace soundtrack for this burning August days. Have a nice Sunday, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 291

June has begun with odd visits to el Vallés (long story that might have additional chapters), expensive ticket upgrades for... the next year, and that terrible Barcelona weather where you can forget to get any sleep. Luckily, music continues to be the oasis to this madness, as our latest TOP TEN JUKEBOX proves. A fine and moody mixture of well-beloved names (Goats, Iron and Wine, the killer returns of Floodlights and Nation of Language) plus an exciting dose of new finds. Take a break, enjoy the songs, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 290

The downward spiral never ends. Looking at the state of current affairs, it's a disastrous week, with scenes we are, shamefully, used to see in Gaza, plus a despicable situation at the Spanish Southern border. Seriously depressing stuff. Luckily (what an incredible contrast), the music week has been stunning, a rare TOP TEN JUKEBOX where tunes just seem to flourish for you to grab. To the usual dose of discoveries (including a jangly gem in German!) a coalition of heavyweights has aligned to the rescue, crowned by the reunion of Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen, a dream come true. Take a break, enjoy the songs, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 289

Extremely contradictory times (yes, we're being euphemistic) out there. Freedom is to be found in alcohol, the ugliest face of neoliberalism needs police repression "to show" how liberty flourishes...  and the right to self-defense means bombing other's territory. More than enough to drive you crazy. We don't pretend to have a solution here. But at least we can offer you a way to disconnect, or at least entertain yourself for a while, with the tunes gathered in our latest TOP TEN JUKEBOXPeace signs... Hope you enjoy, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 288

After a long-awaited and most-deserved break last weekend, here we are, back with our TOP TEN JUKEBOX. A much needed dose of stunning new tunes (might be one of the strongest selections of the year so far), focused, as usual, in exciting bands to be discovered, plus the unexpected return of the mighty Mountain Goats. It's been a disheartening week, another grim reality bite regarding mankind and common sense (freedom is not in a bar) so we hope this collection of tracks cheer you up a bit. Take a listen, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 287

Not much to talk about without getting really furious (damn fascists!), so let's focus on the music. Here we are, ready for another TOP TEN JUKEBOX, properly arriving to shed some light on this cloudy Sunday. A stunning mixture of surefires, like Lou Barlow, Holiday Ghosts, the unexpected ballad between Jehnny Beth and Bobbie Gillespie, and dearest Teenage Fanclub, alongside our trademark dose of new bands to discover. A lot to listen, so hurry up, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 286

We have been pretty busy writing for Sant Jordi / International Book Day (as you might know, reading is another great passion) these last days, as well as planning another possible short trip, if the situation allow us (which doesn't seem probable right now, virus, get the f out of here now!) But nevermind, we are finishing the week strongly, with our latest TOP TEN JUKEBOX, a brand new collection of tunes so magnificient we had to share them with you. 10 songs with a spring air to help close / open a new week with optimism. Take a listen, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 285

We took a break last weekend (holidays, despite the times), but we are back, with the batteries recharged and ready to bring your our latest TOP TEN JUKEBOX. An exciting mixture of newbies and surefires, including our beloved Courtney Barnett (covering Sharon Van Etten, what a match made in heaven!) and the haunting Sinead O'Brien (we fall for every new tune of her). So plenty to enjoy and discover. Take a listen, and remember to join us at our Soundcloud page!
