The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 244

Too many things happening at the same time. The political situation in our country reached another cornerstone, so it made much more sense to us (it's not about independence, but about human rights and justice this time) to be on the streets that planning a jukebox. Then some work turmoil, plus an ear infection… But the tunes were there and, after the somewhat 'forced' hiatus, here we are, back with our TOP TEN JUKEBOX. Have a listen, and stay tuned, more coming son (we have more music on the shelves, awaiting to be listened). Have fun and remember to join us in our Soundcloud page.

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 243

Yeah, we are a little bit delayed again, we know, we know. But it has a pretty busy weekend, being part of a very special anniversary (a local record shop!), talking about eternal tunes and their intrinsic relation with our lifes, plus discussing about the current state of music/industry, as well as about the role of the music critic today. There were some nostalgia, fear of missing out and pessimism all the way. But also some hope that, in the end (we, and we hope listeners) are still moved by the power of great tune. Here's a bunch, in the form of our regular TOP TEN JUKEBOX to help us prove our thesis, and hopefully, enlightening your Sunday. And as always, remember to join us in our Soundcloud page.

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 241

After two weeks in Baltic lands (what a pleasure to finally travel, discover new places, and disconnect from routine) we have returned to our beloved-hated Barcelona, just in time to celebrate the festivities of the city, with great concerts ahead... if the weather allows it. So, taking advantage of this happy mood, we restart our TOP TEN JUKEBOX, as many great tunes are awaiting you to be heard. Hope you enjoy them, and remember to join us in our Soundcloud page.

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 240

We are so tempted (again) to devote the post to enumerate all the ridiculous, embarrassing and/or shameful political actions that are happening around the globe right now, from the uncontrolled fires in the Amazon and Siberia (let's thank their respective dictators for the great job done), the dramatic refugee and migrant crisis, with the supposed leaders of the free world from the States and Europe behaving like straight fascists, or basically looking at their own navel (elections coming soon), doing nothing for humans being suffering... Oops we already did it. Sorry for the rant, but this are simply disgraceful times. Luckily, we can take a break (or momentary shelter) in music, so here's our new TOP TEN JUKEBOXfull of gems awaiting to be discovered (some standout tracks here, guaranteed), plus the stunning comebacks of Whitney and Blog 'old pals' The Weeding Present. A way to avoid falling into pessimism and bleak reality. So, please enjoy, take care, and remember to join us in our Soundcloud page.

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 239

Finally it's Friday! Because who says there is no one working at the office in August? Well, there's still some crazy people (like us) going around and getting up early (with the same expression as you at the subway, meaning why are we here and still working?). While we discount days for our desired holidays (not until September this year), we continue bringing you some music discoveries, because luckily for all of us, good music doesn't take holidays either. This time, with a very varied and eclectic TOP TEN JUKEBOX where you can explore and immerse yourself in different musical styles and rhythms. Have fun and remember don't forget to join us in our Soundcloud page.

The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 238

This post was supposed to be about our latest batch of exciting music findings, packed in the latest TOP TEN JUKEBOXaccompanied by some references on how unpleasant and uncomfortable is living under a permanent heatwave in and even more disgusting Barcelona in August. But the great David Berman, one of these criminally underrated music genius, passed away this week. We were just starting to unveil his new, out of the blue, songs under the moniker of Purple Mountains (as expected, several gems awaiting to be heard), getting excited with the chance of a tour that would include Spain (a Primavera Sound with Pavement and Berman, can you imagine?) but reality has shown its most brutal face. Deeply sad. Although we admit it has been somewhat heartwarming to see how many people have shown their love for the (not so known, we thought) artist online. We are certain the best way to pay a tribute to this wry indiepop poet is recovering/discovering his amazing legacy (if you don't know about Silver Jews, you're about to enter into a goldmine, enjoy), as well as searching for all the stunning tunes that are available out there like, maybe, the ones we propose in our Soundcloud.
