The Bloodbuzzed Jukebox Week 238

This post was supposed to be about our latest batch of exciting music findings, packed in the latest TOP TEN JUKEBOXaccompanied by some references on how unpleasant and uncomfortable is living under a permanent heatwave in and even more disgusting Barcelona in August. But the great David Berman, one of these criminally underrated music genius, passed away this week. We were just starting to unveil his new, out of the blue, songs under the moniker of Purple Mountains (as expected, several gems awaiting to be heard), getting excited with the chance of a tour that would include Spain (a Primavera Sound with Pavement and Berman, can you imagine?) but reality has shown its most brutal face. Deeply sad. Although we admit it has been somewhat heartwarming to see how many people have shown their love for the (not so known, we thought) artist online. We are certain the best way to pay a tribute to this wry indiepop poet is recovering/discovering his amazing legacy (if you don't know about Silver Jews, you're about to enter into a goldmine, enjoy), as well as searching for all the stunning tunes that are available out there like, maybe, the ones we propose in our Soundcloud.
